Deformation Analysis
One application for which OPTOTRAK measurement solutions are particularly suited is part deformation analysis. Based on optical technology and capable of capturing both dynamic and static deformations, OPTOTRAK systems can track up to 512 targets with rates of up to 4600 measurements per second. With specially designed targets attached to points of interest, you can record the static position of a part. Customized software can then measure the magnitude and direction of deformations in the part. This makes OPTOTRAK systems ideal for many applications, including fixture spring-back, thermal distortion, and wind loading deformation analysis.
