OPTOTRAK Certus HD Dynamic Measuring Machine
OPTOTRAK Certus® HD is a powerful and flexible Dynamic Measuring Machine (DMM) for 6DOF motion tracking and analysis applications. The Certus HD Position Sensor uses high-speed, real-time digital photogrammetry and optical triangulation techniques to track the precise 3D positions of targets over a large volume.
The Certus HD system can determine the position and orientation of many moving objects by generating thousands of data points per second in real time. You can analyze and report data in either a fixed frame of reference or relative to another object's local coordinate system.
The following options are available for the OPTOTRAK Certus® HD System.
Strobers
Marker Strober
Activates up to 24 targets attached to RJH connectors. Users may configure the activation order within software.
Tool Strober
Accommodates up to 4 tools with SROM files that are automatically recognized by the Tool Strober's 10-pin connectors. Each tool can have up to 20 targets, 3 switches and 4 visible
LEDs.
Axon Strober
A general-purpose strober that supports up to 80 targets and customizable tool combinations through a DB25 connector.
OPTOTRAK Data Aquisition Unit II (ODAU II)
The ODAU II enables a synchronized collection of analog and digital data with the OPTOTRAK position data. Preconditioned signals from devices such as EMG sensors, force plates,
accelerometers, and strain gauges may be viewed in real-time and stored to data files for post hoc analysis. The ODAU II utilizes a 16 bit converter to collect up to 16
single-ended input channels or 8 differential input channels. Feedback control to the subject/object of study may be achieved through the 8 digital I/O channels or 2 analog output
channels.

6D Architect simplifies the tool characterization process, as well as the creation of tool definition files.
