NDI Launches the AUTOsense Touch Trigger Module

WATERLOO, CANADA – September 1st, 2008: NDI is pleased to announce the launch of a true innovation for handheld metrology – the AUTOsense Touch Trigger Module. Developed for NDI by Renishaw, the AUTOsense module offers hard probe, scanning and touch trigger capability.

This leading-edge technology automatically takes measurements when the probe stylus contacts the part, with no need for a button press. As a touch trigger probe, AUTOsense reduces unnecessary tip deflection errors by automatically taking measurements when the probe stylus contacts the part. During contact surface scanning AUTOsense does not continue measuring when the stylus leaves the work piece, eliminating invalid points.
