May 4, 2010

WATERLOO, CANADA: At the 2010 Control show in Stuttgart, Germany (May 4 - 7, Hall 5, Booth #5310), NDI will be demonstrating the all-in-one, self-positioning VicraSCAN handheld 3D laser scanner. Visitors will see first-hand how quickly and easily this entry-level scanner can be setup and used to create and compare detailed 3D digital models.

"Affordable and truly portable, this lightweight, easy-to-use scanner opens the door for many professionals who are looking to create 3D models using a laser scanner that's extremely reliable and fits their budget," commented Paul Clausen, V.P., Industrial Division, NDI.

The VicraSCAN is very flexible, offering the ability to measure virtually anywhere with greater freedom and control. VicraSCAN is ideal for many 3D modeling applications, ranging from rapid prototyping to multimedia applications to orthotic and prosthetic manufacturing.

Presenters will also be showing the industry leading OPTOTRAK PROseries Portable CMM with Dynamic Part Referencing and the OPTOTRAK ScanTRAK system. NDI's advanced measurement systems support a wide range of commercially available software applications for both scanning and touch probing.
