WATERLOO, CANADA – September 5th, 2008: NDI has unveiled a versatile and cost-effective innovation for large-volume metrology – the Model XR Optical Tracker. Now you can perform true handheld laser scanning and probing to a range of 12 m, as well as dynamic tracking. Model XR gives you all the functionality of a laser tracker with the added benefit of instant tracking to eliminate beam breaks.
In addition, the Optical Tracker's high-speed, real-time digital photogrammetry provides unique functions and benefits. The ability to instantaneously track multiple objects with one system enables applications such as the real-time guided assembly of large parts.
Dynamic Part Referencing allows you to automatically compensate for vibrations and movement during measurement. This feature also allows you to continuously expand the tracker’s measurement volume for even greater coverage.
