My Walk Cycle on a Treadmill
Courtesy of noazark
5 second Optotrak motion capture of me on a treadmill. The IR beacons are on my limb segments, not joints. Joint positions can be tracked by inference using "virtual markers" paired with the triangular rigid body markers.
For more information see the Optorak Certus Motion Capture System.
Testing a New Pedal/Cleat System
Courtesy of tomgakes
A test rider is riding his bike on a treadmill with a new pedal/cleat system while 3-D kinematics are recorded with the Optotrak system. For safety reasons, the rider is attached to a rope so he won't get hurt in case of a crash. A test leader (me) will help him start and stop riding.

Clarinet Motion-Capture Data
Courtesy of Input Devices and Music Interaction Laboratory (IDMIL)
Visualization of music performance data. This video shows vertical instrument angle plotted against time, for four different performances of the same piece, by the same performer. Performance data was recorded using an Optotrak Motion Capture System, and the processing and visualization were done using MATLAB.

How do you control a bicycle? One of our questions in our TUDelft Bicycle Dynamics research program. Here we investigate rider motions while cycling on a large treadmill at the VUAmsterdam. Motions are obtained with an Optotrak Motion Capture System (Dutch Interview).
