Northern Digital Inc. provides software to collect, manage, and display kinematic data in real-time or through post-hoc analysis. The following software packages are available for use with Northern Digital Inc. motion capture systems.

NDI First Principles

NDI First Principles Motion Capture Software NDI First Principles™ is real-time, motion capture software that provides an easy way to observe, record, play back, and manage data produced by Optotrak or 3D Investigator systems.

NDI First Principles also allows for easy integration of 3rd party devices, such as force platforms, EMG systems, eye-trackers, and many others.

NDI DataView

NDI DataView™ is software that allows viewing of Optotrak motion capture marker data and rigid body data, as well as analog/digital data captured from third party peripheral devices.

NDI 6D Architect

NDI 6D Architect™ enables users to develop rigid bodies for determining 6DOF data of body segments and objects. NDI 6D Architect also enables users to build and qualify digitizing probes (for designing imaginary markers and general digitizing).

Optotrak Application Programmer's Interface (OAPI)

The OAPI allows integration of the Optotrak Certus and 3D Investigator systems into custom applications, such as LabVIEW™. OAPI sample programs, which include sample code using C programming language, assists in the development of custom software applications.

Real-Time Integration of 3rd Party Hardware/Software Products

The Northern Digital Inc. Optotrak Certus and 3D Investigator systems allow for seamless real-time integration with the following 3rd party hardware/software products. Optional accessories may be required for some integrations.
