Polaris System Control Unit

The Polaris^® System Control Unit (SCU) is used with the hybrid Polaris Spectra^®. It provides the interface between the Position Sensor, strobers and tools, and the host computer. Three active tools can simultaneously be directly connected to the SCU. The SCU also incorporates a GPIO port for connecting other devices, such as a foot switch as well as an expansion port for connecting strobers through which additional active tools and/or GPIO devices may be connected. The SCU incorporates indicator LEDs to show power, status and error information.
