Orthopaedic Surgery Challenges

In order to eliminate pain or disability caused by a damaged joint (for example, knee or hip), orthopaedic surgery is sometimes performed to replace the faulty joint with an orthopaedic implant. Less than perfect alignment of implants with the joint can cause pain, longer recovery times, and possibly result in the procedure being repeated, however, precise alignment of orthopaedic implants is difficult to achieve with consistency.
