NDI’s Response to Covid-19

At NDI, we are committed to putting the health and safety of our employees and customers first. We are strictly following the guidelines of Health Canada, the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and the health authorities of the countries in which we have offices. It’s our responsibility to ensure we take the necessary actions to preserve the health and safety of our local communities and society as a whole.

We’re doing everything we can to maintain our business and manufacturing operations, and anticipate and mitigate any disruptions that could occur. We’re working closely with our suppliers, logistics partners, and customers to ensure uninterrupted delivery of our equipment, so that it can continue to be used where it’s needed most. This is especially true of products that are essential to the provision of acute care.

Here are some of the measures we’ve undertaken to protect our employees, customers, and local communities during the Covid-19 pandemic:

  • Remote Work: the majority of our employees are currently working from home until further notice. We have a stable mobile and online infrastructure in place that allows our employees to continue providing service and support to our customers.
  • Facility Sanitization: our facilities have been closed to outside visitors. We have blocked off all but core areas of our buildings. And we have increased how often we clean and sanitize our offices and production facilities.
  • Travel: all business travel for NDI employees has been suspended until further notice. Employees returning from personal travel have entered self-isolation for 14-days, in accordance with health authority guidelines.
  • Hygiene: increased handwashing has been promoted, and sanitization stations have been set up in core areas of our buildings. Workstations and shared spaces have been reconfigured to ensure employees maintain a distance of 2 meters (6 feet) from each other.
  • Employee Assistance: we have an employee assistance service available to help our employees during these unprecedented times. As always, the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of our employees remains our top priority.

The Covid-19 pandemic is unlike any situation any of us have ever experienced. We will continue to monitor this rapidly changing situation as best we can, and continue to adapt as best we can. We’re all in this together.
