Sensor Assemblies

 A cable assembly with an attached sensor and connector. The sensor is not enclosed, allowing for further customization of the finished tool.

For non-clinical research and early-stage OEM development, NDI offers several pre-configured demonstration tools for evaluation purposes.

Aurora 6DOF Probe

A general-purpose probe with a rigid, straight metal shaft, for use during OEM development and testing.

Aurora 6DOF Reference

A flat reference disc compatible with screws or adhesive fixation as a reference point.

Aurora 6DOF Cable Tool

A durable, multi-purpose tool with a 6DOF sensor in the tip of a 2 m flexible, shielded cable.

Aurora 5DOF/6DOF FlexTube

A flexible component insert with a small 5DOF/6DOF sensor at the tip.

Aurora 5DOF Needle, 18G/21G

An 18-gauge or 21-gauge needle with an integrated 5DOF sensor in the stylet tip, to simulate tip-tracking for development evaluation of tip position measurement.

Tools and Accessories

NDI offers a range of passive or active tools and accessories designed to complement Polaris Optical tracking platforms.

Active tools use internal electronics and require a power source to function, whereas passive tools use reflective markers and require no internal electronics or power source.

Polaris Sphere Mounting Post

Stainless steel mounting posts for NDI Passive Spheres ™.

Polaris Rigid Body Clamps

Mounting clamp for use with Polaris passive rigid bodies. Allows passive rigid bodies to attach to cylindrical objects. Available in small and large sizes.

Active rigid body for testing and evaluation purposes. Requires a System Control Unit.
